Welcome to Unit 26

Unit 26 is a brand new professional recording studio located in Media City, Manchester. The studio is a purpose built complex offering the best in digital recording (with some additional analogue gear for good measure!). In October 2009, Jon McEwan combined his knowledge of the building trade and his experience in the music industry to build Unit 26 to acoustically optimised specifications.

This studio consists of Control Room, Live Room, DJ/Midi production suite, Kitchen facilities, Green Room / office.

Artists recording at Unit 26 Studios will get top quality professional results at an affordable rate. All our clients feel comfortable and relaxed in our neo cosmopolitan urban yet discrete location, a setting that encourages great creativity. It is situated in Manchester’s prestigious Media City, near to Salford Quays. Within easy reach of the M62 we are easily accessible.

Unit 26 is functionally efficient, aesthetically stunning and acoustically accurate... we have everything you need for professional results and more.

Additionally.... We have an onsite store where we stock a selection of refreshments, guitar strings, plectrums, batteries, drum sticks and more! Also, local catering delivery service, ample free parking, Green Room with 50inch HD TV, Nintendo Wii, leather sofas. There are several quality restaurants, hotels, inns and B&B’s in the local area. We can arrange the bookings for you as part of any session.

We can also arrange VIP tables in all Manchester’s top restaurants and hotels, as well as limousine service on request. As well as recording/mixing/mastering services, we can produce corporate media production packages, audio post production for film and television, and a variety of media based services.
